What are the absolute must-dos when bringing a new kitten home?

It is highly important to quarantine your new kitten when you bring it home, especially if you have other felines in the home. Keeping them separate for 2 weeks is highly suggested. This allows the kitten to get used to his or her new space. Should any stress-related cold occur due to travel and a new environment, you won't take a chance of giving it to other felines in the home. Kittens must be checked by a licensed vet within 72 hours of receiving the kitten to honor and keep contract terms.

What advice do you have to help kittens stay happy and healthy?
Attention is key. Always play and love on your new kitty. Regular interaction and affection will build a strong bond and keep your kitten feeling secure and loved.

What should new owners have ready before their kitten arrives?
Before your new kitten arrives, you should have a new, clean, fresh litter box, kitten toys, food and water bowls, and a nice, warm cat bed ready. These essential items will help your kitten settle in comfortably.

Is there anything unique about caring for specific breeds?
For Persian, Exotic Longhair, or Exotic Shorthair kittens, brushing their hair daily, or at least every other day, is crucial to prevent matting. Their eyes may have drainage off and on due to the structure of their face, so wiping with a warm cloth will help keep the eye area clean and healthy.
